Warehouse Door Curtains for Busy Industrial Openings
Compare industrial door curtain options for warehouse entrances and internal passages, including clear PVC strips, magnetic PVC panels and reinforced magnetic mesh. The right configuration depends on the opening, traffic, mounting surface, temperature and the type of separation you need.
Warehouse drapes for doorways or large-area dividers?
If you are comparing warehouse drapes, first decide whether you need coverage at a doorway or a curtain wall across a larger work area. This page covers doorway curtains: overlapping PVC strips, magnetic PVC panels and reinforced magnetic mesh. A full-height warehouse divider may need a different support layout and project-specific design; doorway dimensions alone do not specify it.
For each option, compare the actual suspension, panel meeting edges and lower clearance. Ask for a configuration drawing and close-up photos of the quoted hardware before approving the order.
Three doorway structures for different warehouse priorities
Flexible overlapping coverage
Transparent PVC strips maintain visibility and allow repeated passage. Strip width, overlap, finished height, mounting and quantity must be matched to the doorway.
Clear panels with magnetic edging
Magnetic edges help adjacent strips meet and reduce open gaps. This option can suit entrances or internal partitions that need visibility and convenient everyday access.
Airflow and insect screening
Reinforced mesh allows airflow and daylight while magnetic strips help the panels close. It is an insect-screening option, not a temperature barrier.
Choose warehouse door curtains around the traffic route
Before approving a configuration, use the loaded-route worksheet in our warehouse curtain selection guide to record the trolley, load and approach route. The guide also includes checks for the first installation.
Start with the busiest real passage, not only the opening width. Record the largest loaded item, approach direction and whether people and equipment share the route. A flexible curtain is not a collision barrier or a replacement for a warehouse traffic-safety plan.
Pedestrian access
Check comfortable passage, visibility through the doorway and the way panels return after use. Where airflow and insect screening are the priority, review reinforced mesh. Where flexible separation is needed, compare PVC structures. Keep emergency exits and required access routes unobstructed.
Hand trolleys and carts
Measure the loaded cart, including projecting handles and goods. Check whether panel edges can catch on corners or drag on the load, and whether the operator can see approaching traffic. Confirm the access-panel position and required clearance before ordering.
Forklift or mixed traffic
Do not assume a pedestrian magnetic curtain is suitable for vehicle passage. Provide loaded vehicle dimensions, approach angle, travel frequency, visibility restrictions and impact exposure for a configuration review. Separate people and vehicles according to the site traffic plan.
Review the whole doorway arrangement
Increasing strip thickness or overlap can change passage resistance as well as coverage; it is not automatically an improvement for every route. Also check nearby doors, handles, racks, floor slopes and available mounting space. Use the PVC thickness, width and overlap guide for the specification discussion.
Conditions to review before choosing
| Condition | Why it matters | What to send |
|---|---|---|
| Opening and mounting area | Finished dimensions and fittings depend on the full mounting surface, not only the clear opening. | Three width and height measurements plus doorway photos |
| Traffic | People, trolleys and vehicles create different clearance, passage and impact requirements. | Traffic type, dimensions, frequency and direction |
| Separation goal | Visibility, reducing open gaps, airflow and insect screening lead to different product choices. | The main problem the curtain should solve |
| Temperature | The base PVC material is listed from −10°C to +60°C (14°F to 140°F); cold-resistant options require grade confirmation. | Normal, minimum and maximum temperature |
| Exposure | Indoor/outdoor position, wind and nearby equipment may affect the finished arrangement. | Location photos and operating description |
| Floor clearance | The bottom finish must allow passage without creating an unsuitable gap. | Floor condition, slope and required clearance |
Use confirmed material data, then specify the finished curtain
The current clear PVC catalog lists a main specification of 2 mm (about 0.079 in) thickness, 350, 400, 450 or 500 mm widths (about 13.78, 15.75, 17.72 or 19.69 in), 25 m (about 82 ft) per roll, hardness of 75 ± 5 Shore A, density of 1.2 g/cm³ and an operating range of −10°C to +60°C (14°F to 140°F).
Check the installation method for the selected structure
Use the guide that matches the quoted hardware: overlapping PVC strip curtain installation, magnetic PVC panel installation or reinforced magnetic mesh installation. The mounting systems are not interchangeable.
Keep the original measurement unit on the order drawing. Inch and foot figures above are rounded reference conversions, not replacement manufacturing tolerances.
What this page does not promise
A product description alone cannot confirm energy savings, dust-control efficiency, wind resistance, impact performance, flame classification or suitability for a particular freezer. Vehicle traffic, strong wind, regulated environments and temperature extremes require a configuration review and verified supporting data.
Start with accurate measurements using the doorway measurement guide.

Frequently asked questions
Which door curtain is best for a warehouse?
The best structure depends on the task. Clear PVC strips suit flexible visible separation, magnetic PVC helps adjacent panels meet, and reinforced mesh supports airflow and insect screening. Doorway and traffic conditions must be reviewed.
Can warehouse door curtains be used with trolleys or vehicles?
Traffic type is a required selection input. Send the trolley or vehicle dimensions, passage frequency and doorway photos. Clearance, impact exposure and the finished arrangement must be confirmed before ordering.
Can the PVC material be used for cold storage?
The base listed range is −10°C to +60°C (14°F to 140°F). A cold-resistant option is listed, but the grade and suitability for a specific cold room or freezer must be confirmed.
Is a 25 m roll a finished warehouse curtain?
No. It is the material roll length. Finished dimensions, strip arrangement, magnetic edging and fittings are quoted separately.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ starts from one piece for eligible finished configurations. Confirm the product, dimensions, options and destination for a quotation.
Prepare a clearer warehouse curtain quotation
Send the doorway measurements, photos, traffic, environment, quantity and destination. Harbor Lux will review the appropriate product structure and the details that still need confirmation.
Request a warehouse configuration review
Final materials, dimensions, fittings, options and performance are confirmed in the quotation.
Strip curtain or hinged crash door?
For warehouse openings, compare traffic routes, forklift approach, swing clearance, flexible-strip overlap and maintenance before choosing the structure.
