Before You Install the Curtain
Confirm the following before opening or drilling:
- the ordered curtain matches the intended doorway;
- the width and height were recorded with units;
- the intended mounting position is clear;
- the surface is flat, stable and able to accept suitable fasteners;
- pipes, cables, shutters and other obstructions have been identified;
- the supplied rail, sliding screws or fittings are present; and
- the curtain can hang without dragging excessively or blocking nearby equipment.

Tools and Hardware
The exact tools depend on the installation surface and supplied version. A typical installer may need:
- a tape measure and pencil;
- a spirit level;
- a drill and suitable drill bit;

- a wrench or spanner;
- appropriate fasteners and anchors;
- a stable ladder; and
- suitable protective equipment.
Do not select a screw or anchor only from a general online guide. Concrete, brick, wood, steel, aluminum frames and insulated panels can require different fixing methods. The installer should match the fastener to the actual supporting structure and expected load.
Step 1: Check the Mounting Position
Hold or mark the mounting rail at the agreed position above or within the opening. Check that there is enough flat space for the rail and that the curtain will cover the intended area.
Use a level to establish a horizontal reference line. If the rail is tilted, the two curtain panels may hang at different heights and the magnetic edges may not meet evenly.

Step 2: Mark the Fixing Points

Step 4: Insert the Sliding Screws or Hanging Fittings
Insert the supplied sliding screws or hanging fittings into the rail in the sequence required by the ordered version. Keep them loose enough to move into their final positions.
Count the fittings before hanging the curtain and compare them with the curtain mounting points. Missing or unevenly spaced fittings can place unnecessary stress on the top edge.
Step 5: Hang the Curtain
With another person assisting where appropriate, lift the curtain and place its top mounting points onto the sliding screws or fittings. Support the curtain while each point is connected; do not allow the full weight to hang from one corner.
Spread the fittings across the rail so that the curtain hangs evenly. Keep the central magnetic opening close to the doorway center unless the approved configuration specifies otherwise.
Step 6: Align the Magnetic Center Closure
Let both panels hang freely before final tightening. Bring the magnetic edges together and inspect them from top to bottom.
Check whether:
- the two sides meet along the intended center line;
- the magnets reconnect without being forced;
- one panel hangs noticeably higher than the other;
- the lower edge contacts the floor as intended; and
- folds or tension pull the magnetic edges apart.
If the closure is uneven, first recheck rail level, fitting positions and panel height. Do not cut or permanently alter the curtain before confirming the cause.
Step 7: Tighten and Recheck the Fittings
When the curtain is aligned, tighten the hanging fittings evenly. Work across the rail rather than fully tightening one side first.
After tightening, recheck the rail, top edge, side coverage and center closure. Confirm that the fittings remain seated and that the curtain is not twisted.
Step 8: Test Repeated Passage
Walk through the center several times at a normal pace. Allow the two sides to return without pulling them together by hand.
Observe:
- whether the opening separates comfortably;
- whether the magnetic edges return toward each other;
- whether the panels catch on the floor, frame or nearby objects;
- whether any fitting moves or loosens; and
- whether the curtain remains centered after repeated use.
Testing should reflect the real doorway traffic. A curtain intended for pedestrian passage should not automatically be treated as a barrier for forklifts or other heavy equipment.
Common Installation Problems
The Magnetic Edges Do Not Meet Evenly
Check whether the rail is level, the curtain is centered and the hanging points are spaced evenly. Also inspect the floor and doorway for a slope. If the supplied panels or fittings appear inconsistent, photograph the full installation and the closure detail before making permanent changes.
One Side Hangs Lower
Recheck the top rail and individual hanging positions. A measurement difference, tilted rail, uneven fitting position or floor level may create the appearance of unequal panels.
The Curtain Drags or Catches
Confirm the mounting height and floor condition. Do not shorten the product until the ordered dimensions and intended floor clearance have been checked with the supplier.
The Rail or Fittings Move
Stop using the curtain and inspect the fixing surface and fasteners. Movement can indicate that the selected anchors or supporting structure are unsuitable. A qualified installer should correct the fixing method.
The Curtain Does Not Return After Passage
Check for twists, obstructions, uneven panel tension and misaligned magnetic edges. Also confirm that the real traffic and environment match the use discussed before ordering.
