Choose the strip material around the doorway and traffic
There is no single strip width, thickness or overlap that fits every opening. Start with the doorway dimensions, mounting surface, traffic and environment, then confirm the finished arrangement before production.
1. Measure the opening
Record width and height at three points. Note whether the track will mount above the opening or inside the frame, because the fixing position changes the finished coverage.
2. Describe the traffic
Tell us whether the doorway is used by people, hand trolleys, pallet handling or other equipment. Traffic type affects the practical balance between coverage and passage.
3. Confirm the environment
Provide the operating temperature, indoor or exposed location, airflow and the reason for separation. Cold-resistant or flame-retardant grades are options to confirm, not automatic features.

PVC strip curtain purchasing questions
How do I choose PVC strip thickness and width?
Use the doorway height, traffic, mounting position and environment together. The listed main material is 2 mm thick in 350, 400, 450 or 500 mm widths, but the final configuration must be confirmed for the actual opening.
Does greater overlap always make a better curtain?
More coverage can reduce open gaps, but it also changes passage resistance and material use. The appropriate overlap depends on the doorway, traffic and separation goal rather than one universal percentage.
Are rolls and finished doorway curtains the same product?
No. A 25 m roll is PVC strip material for fabrication. A finished curtain also requires the doorway height, strip arrangement, mounting hardware and any magnetic edging or other fittings.
Can this PVC strip material be used for cold storage?
The current catalog lists a standard operating range of -10°C to +60°C and also lists cold-resistant options. Confirm the required temperature and grade in the quotation before using the material for refrigerated or freezer applications.
Replacement PVC strips: check the material and hanger before ordering
Replacing worn strips is a different purchase from ordering a complete doorway curtain. Send the existing strip measurements and mounting details so we can review a suitable supply format. Matching the visible width alone does not confirm compatibility, and we do not assume that another supplier’s hanger system will fit.
1. Material and dimensions
Provide strip width, thickness, actual cut length, quantity and the original grade or order reference. Note operating temperature and any specific material requirements. A thicker strip is not automatically a suitable replacement.
2. Hanger and hole pattern
Photograph the rail, hanger plate and strip attachment. Where holes are used, measure their diameter, center-to-center spacing and position relative to the top edge. Include a ruler in close-up photographs and state the units.
3. Coverage and condition
Record the existing strip sequence, overlap and floor clearance. Check whether damage affects one strip or the complete opening. Loose or distorted hardware needs review before new material is fitted.
PVC roll, cut strip or complete curtain?
Roll material is an option to review when fabrication and cutting will be arranged locally. If you require cut lengths, punching, hanger plates or a complete assembly, list each item in the enquiry; preparation, compatibility, availability and minimum quantity must be confirmed in the quotation. A roll-only quote does not include those operations or fittings.
For example, if only two strips are damaged, identify their positions and supply their actual measurements rather than ordering from doorway width and height alone. This is a measurement example, not confirmation that every two-piece replacement can be supplied.
