A door curtain quality control checklist connects the agreed order specification with the material, fittings and finished assembly. Use it to compare quotations, approve a sample or arrange an inspection. Agree acceptance criteria before production rather than deciding them from shipment photographs.
Start with an order specification
Record the structure: overlapping PVC strips, magnetic PVC panels or reinforced mesh. Identify material grade, thickness or fabric specification, color, finished dimensions, mounting layout, quantity and destination. Include drawing and document versions.
Separate confirmed requirements from requested options. A brochure is not an order specification for every SKU. Ask which evidence covers the proposed material and what needs confirmation.

Review material evidence
For PVC, request the technical data sheet and agreed measurements such as thickness tolerance, hardness or density. If temperature, UV behavior or mechanical properties matter, specify the method and result required. One property cannot substitute for all others.
For mesh, confirm composition rather than inferring it from a trade name. Weight, openings and edge construction describe different characteristics. Tear and abrasion results need a method, sample and conditions to support comparison.
Check assembly and finished function
Inspect stitching, edging, hanger positions and component count against the drawing. Measure finished width and height with the agreed datum and method. For magnetic panels, inspect alignment and return in the specified mounting arrangement.
Define any cycle check beforehand: opening motion, cycle count, observation points and acceptance criteria. A demonstration video shows behavior under its recorded conditions, not a verified service-life claim.
Read reports and compliance documents carefully
Check identification, sample description, thickness, date, issuer or laboratory, method and result. Confirm coverage of the material ordered. A report for another formulation or configuration may not answer the buyer’s question.
Test methods, management-system documents and product approvals serve different purposes. Ask what each claimed document establishes and which products it covers. Avoid interpreting an isolated result as proof of every market or installation requirement.
Apply the checklist at three stages
- Before quotation: identify dimensions, conditions and required evidence.
- Before order approval: agree material, layout, tolerances, inspection and acceptance.
- Before shipment: compare records, labels, photographs and the parts list with the order.
Record discrepancies with the affected item, measurement or photograph and proposed resolution. Retain the approved specification for maintenance and replacement.
